Young people in Africa facing challenges in the labour market may have no choice but undertake work that is marginal, dangerous or illegal. Similarly, those living with HIV or affected by the epidemic face more difficulties in finding decent jobs because of HIV-related stigma and discrimination.
Under YTEDC ‘Stars’ program, we are working with these women living with HIV/AIDs by providing them with skills on how to identify business potentials and manage small businesses successfully through enrolling them into a 10 week business training program.
The ‘Stars’ program aims at rekindling lost hopes and glory of such women by restoring back their dignity and confidence.
The ‘Stars’ program is supported by The Links Incorporated-US.
